They find utility in fine-tuning slurries with very low solids content, typically ranging from 1% to 5%, or for cake filtration where solids concentration is higher, typically around 20% to 25%.
Similar to Horizontal Plate Filters, Vertical Leaf Filters are exceptionally well-suited for managing flammable, toxic, or corrosive substances. These filters are autoclaved and engineered to operate safely in hazardous environments, particularly under high-pressure conditions. Furthermore, they can be easily equipped with jacketing to maintain specific temperature conditions, whether hot or cold, as required for various applications. This level of adaptability isn't attainable with Filter presses, which necessitate the plates to be exposed to the atmosphere and manually shifted one by one during cake discharge at the end of each cycle.
