The belt is an assembly of paired spirals, inter-woven into the preceding pair. The spirals are reinforced by a straight cross-rod connector passing through its vertices. Like the double balanced weave, the double rod-reinforced weave consists of "struts" , making it more resistant to camber. Its greater tensile strength makes this belt ideal for carrying heavier loads.
